Interesting Relationship Between Character Strengths & Weaknesses

August 12 –

Hello Readers,

I hope you are enjoying, or enjoyed, a recharging and perhaps even restful summer break!  Recently, I shared general updates, and a bit more about my growing interest in the psychological aspects underlying personal and organizational effectiveness (& wellness).

Today, I want to i) share a quick reflection on the interesting relationship between our natural strengths and ways we self-sabotage, and ii) remind you that my next round of 8-week, small group coaching starts August 19, and enrollment ends August 15

If you have 1-2 minutes– read this section, check out the video & testimonial, scan the rest.
If you have 10+ minutes– sit back, read, watch, reflect and wander… and enjoy!
⏩Either way, I hope to see you later this month.

I would love to get 15 folks joining this round, have three groups go through this program, and have folks experience the lasting change of minimizing self-sabotaging thought patterns.  I’m healthier, happier, and trust myself more as a result of this mental exercise work. If you or anyone you know might be interested, please share this message with him/her. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Reflecting on the interesting relationship between our character strengths and weaknesses. What skills do you over-use when stressed?
“Your mind is your best friend. But also can be your worst enemy”. We can have great insights, and tie ourselves up in knots.  Check out this different, and fun test for insight on your frenemy. The insights from hundreds of interviews, four branches of science, and centuries of wisdom are distilled into deceptively simple, and immensely helpful frameworks. For example, the thousands of ways we can self-sabotage, fall into 10 patterns.

“Who would have thought we would feel and interact so differently after 1-2 minutes of PQ reps?!” The mental fitness exercises connect us to our strengths and inner wisdom, literally rewiring the neural pathways, so we build those better habits and lasting change. And the facilitated discussions are profound, safe, enjoyable, and deeply insight-provoking. I loved and benefitted from the program so much, I became a facilitator-coach eight months ago, and want to share this.

Next start dates are August 19 and October 14 , with orientation sessions the week before – details in your enrollment message. I normally work with leaders of small and medium sized businesses, who want (their) business to be a force for good (they also appreciate my articles on the “Alphabet Soup of Corporate Citizenship”). As I’ve said or implied before, my vision and commitment is to help businesses do better and I love helping individuals be better … so we can all seize our potential and do our part to make the world a more peaceful and productive place.
For the rest of this year, I am excited to share this program more widely, because these frameworks, steps, and the facilitated discussions empower us with tools to think more clearly, interact more effectively… and be happier. They make change possible, and I’d love to share that with you and/or your friends and colleagues.

Don’t miss out on this limited opportunity! Enroll in the next three days to secure your spot in the transformative Mental Fitness program. In eight weeks, you empower yourself to think clearer, work smarter, and live happier. Join me now and take the next step towards a more calmly resilient, fulfilled, and impactful you.
