Nature is our greatest restorer

During many of my most challenging times, I have taken a trip to clear my mind and soul. In these trips (or walks, when closer to home), I learned the most wisdom and perseverance by observing nature. And those observations then helped me look inward, … Continue readingNature is our greatest restorer

"... You too, have come into the world to do this
To go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine"

Precious reminders

How often do you get your walks among the trees? How often do you allow yourself to go easy?

Grateful for a relaxing evening, hiding from the world, with some cuddles from Mario-cat while Modern Love is streaming on Amazon, 😌 (and after a podcast -- I highly recommend #tenpercenthappier by #DanHarris ) after some very busy, full of activities and ideas weeks,... and prepping some exciting things starting over the next few weeks.

I won't lie, it's been tiring challenging worry-making in moments (& exciting, can see the light at end of tunnel as well moments).
A week ago, I said to a friend, "this feels like it will be a harvest year" (tend &build from the work& reputation...I'll/we'llsee how it plays out). But 2024, I think you will be an interesting year (for all of us)!

In the meantime, I'm recharging... and looking forward to a Carnevale party on Sunday, and some fun workshops on Monday (that I get to facilitate 😊).

What is your dream for 2024 & beyond?
Mine is to help businesses become part of the solution to local and global issues, and help leaders inspire & take action. [Campaign URL]

I want to help SMB/SME succeed by inspiring their employees & customers, by shifting from extractive to actually, authentically bringing about improvements & solutions to the way we make, buy, and get rid of things.

When biz brings resilience to the community & environment, they'll see resilience in their market performance.

This style of decision making makes me sad.

Caring about your constituents and empowering them to be their best (vs playing power games) is a choice.

Caring about the future generations (or more about your 2nd, 3rd home and wealthy vacation sponsors) is a choice.

I think this country, the USA, has the caring and the smarts to figure out how to feed its citizens. It is the wealthiest country in the world after all, so has figured out many things.

Rumi's poem "The Guest House" is a favorite of mine-- it gently puts things in perspective, helping us to honor the joys, but also the challenges. Beautiful...

Yesterday afternoon's walk in "my park", I got to meet this beauty. He or she flew down to the ground, relaxed and looked around for a minute, and then hopped up and flew across the path, right in front of me. Hawks are powerful, regal,... and SOOOO present, so aware. And it was such a reminder to me of a few things
 1. wild bird in the big city= in real life, we have to hold competing beliefs
2. wow! Nature is beautiful, powerful, and even in the city!.
3. Be present and you'll witness majesty, beauty, patience, strength... and be inspired by it.

You may or not believe in symbols& signs, may or may not follow astrology, but there's no question that certain moments and sights make us stop, get out of our heads and constant doing, and tap into deeper parts of ourselves. We come back to our human *being
.
*=*=*=*
I'll quote from Marilyn Dumont, astrologermd.com , who saw a Hawk this morning.
"the Hawk represents Visionary Power and Guardianship.  The cycle of the Hawk is POWER and represents Spring, and Fall Equinoxes - and the NEW MOON [....] The exceptional New Moon in Scorpio(Passion, Intensity) was yesterday Nov 13 at 4:27 AM EST.  This morning the Hawk appeared to remind us that in these next days;  before the Full Moon  on the 27th of November;  will be intensely awakening.  The past month has set us on a new path of being IN THE MOMENT, and this New Moon is the beginning of New structures.

Let go and show up in every experience. Be Now and Present in awareness and responsive to who is with you.   The Hawk reminds us we are part of the Guardianship of our Planet now.  IN THE MOMENT is part of that plan.  Being a good steward of your purpose now is so important. "
*=*=*=*

So, to me, that Hawk is a beautiful omen, and reminder to be present, to be strong, and to steward the earth and my purpose. May we all channel that.

Each expansion or growth, is preceded by a small contraction... to then burst forth. And the process is work, and the result is so beautiful.

Isn't this smile fabulous, endearing, calming?! It makes me exhale, begin to smile back, and feel happy, just looking at him. 😊

❤️‍🩹October is emotional wellness month, and a good time to check in after "Septemverwhelm" and as we stare down the end of year holidays and goals.
*****
When I'm angry, sad, or even just confused, I can't focus, and tend to make decisions or say things that really do not serve me and those around me. So, once I realize it (and it takes some time... and *then, I have to *allow myself to take the next step -- our minds are wonderful, powerful, yet strange things), I take a few deep breaths, and ask myself what is really going on. What triggered me, and what did it trigger? What do I really want to accomplish? I often get the answers and sometimes don't, but I always feel clearer-headed, and more able to process things... to address them or let them go.

That reset takes some time and self-awareness. Yet, if we want to lead (ourselves, our families, our teams) in fast changing times, it is vital!

Check out the free test 👀 in the October 9 newsletter link (in my bio), for insight into your saboteurs. It's ok, we all have them.

😌And, if you'd like to review your results and a few ways to grow with and from them, check the link to book a free 30 minute session.

Such a beautiful way of capturing these concepts.

We spend too much time being afraid of our mediocrity, when the truth is that we're average at most things, and we should (we need to!) do the things we love, and say & do the things imperfectly.

Making things better starts with each of us. There are many times that it is hard. "Being the change" starts with us dreaming& envisioning the goal, the better world, then collaborating with and *supporting each other. 🌟 You see something to be done? You can do it, one step at a time. You've got this. 💪💖

Does this one minute reading resonate with you as much as it did with us?

"The ones with the hearts to change the world are often also the ones who fear their own destiny. They are the very ones who will become timid in the face of their own power.[...] They become aware that the things standing in the way of their purpose, were actually the arena..."

People need to hear the good news, or they become hopeless and stop fighting.
These things are not enough to solve the climate crisis, but they are *really amazing, and they give us hope, energy, and ideas.
And when we can shift 100% to renewable energy, there will be 40% less shipping traffic (all those ships carrying fossil fuels won't be needed, oceans & marine life will be that much healthier).

Oooh boy 🌪️ September feels like a whirlwind, especially after the heat and slower rhythms of summer. Kids are back to school and their many activities, some of our kids are off to college (ouch those mixed emotions of an empty/emptier nest!), and many of us are also starting to wrap our head around year-end goals.

One of our stories about #resilience and a #lessonlearned in a challenging time -- keep things simple, honor progress, and ... check out SPIA.

And you might want to check out our small group coaching program, this session offered at cost & full service 😊, starting Sept 16 (enrollment closes 15 September)

*Want to find your flow NOW to achieve your end-of-year goals?*
